Yes, you will receive your regular paycheck. You should notify your supervisor immediately of the date you are called to serve. You will be paid approximately $12.00 for travel expenses by the court. There is a separate column on the time card to record any jury duty hours.

You do not need to notify your supervisor before applying. If you become a serious candidate for the position (a finalist), then you are expected to notify your supervisor of your intentions.

If you are injured on the job you will need to complete an Incident Report with your supervisor. If you visit a doctor or have any medical bills as a result of the injury, you must complete an SIF(2) Accident Form through the Human Resource office and receive additional medical correspondence paperwork.

Immediate family members include legal spouse, dependent child(ren) to age 26, and dependent child who are incapable of self-sustaining employment by reason of developmental disability or physical handicap and is chiefly dependent upon the employee for support and maintenance.

CRISTA’s plan year is from April 1 – March 31 and our annual open enrollment is March 1-15 every year.  Generally, once your coverage begins for the new plan year, it remains in effect until the next plan year.  You may make changes to your coverage during the year only if you experience a qualified life event and enroll within 31 days of the life event, with the exception for births or placement of a child for adoption/foster care, then you will have 60 days from the event.

Qualified life events include:

• Birth or placement of a child with you for adoption or foster care
• Marriage
• Divorce or legal separation
• Death of a spouse of child
• Involuntary loss of other coverage

No, CRISTA does not add the amount of the unused premium costs to your wages.

The deductions in your pay for benefit costs are paid AFTER the previous period of coverage. For example, premiums for healthcare coverage for the 16th through 31st of a month are deducted on the first pay date of the FOLLOWING month.
